Talent Scout & Session Curator (Electronic / Dance)
Workroom is a creative collective built around exceptional producers, writers, and artists, with electronic and dance music at its core. We focus on quality, originality, and forward momentum - not hype.
We exist to discover talent early and create meaningful collaboration by putting the right people in the right rooms at the right time.
We’re looking for someone with exceptional taste and strong musical instinct, who understands people as much as music and knows how to build sessions that matter.
This is not a corporate A&R role.
It’s a role built on trust, judgement, and creative responsibility.
The Role
As a Curator at Workroom, you will:
- Discover emerging electronic / dance producers, writers, and vocalists aligned with WORKROOM’s culture
- Identify talent before they break - not once momentum is obvious
- Curate studio sessions by pairing creatives based on chemistry, not credits
- Attend studio sessions, writing camps, and showcases across the UK and Europe
- Build and maintain thoughtful, long-term relationships with talent
- Manage communication, light logistics, and session follow-ups
- Act as a cultural filter - protecting the integrity, tone, and standards of WORKROOM
Who This Is For
This role is for someone who:
- Has an exceptional ear for music, with a strong focus on electronic and dance, but listens far beyond it
- Produces, writes, DJs, or has spent serious time in studio environments
- Understands what works in a club and what translates beyond it
- Spots potential in people, not just individual tracks
- Thinks in terms of chemistry, timing, and long-term trajectory
- Is socially intelligent and comfortable building trust in creative rooms
- Communicates clearly, follows through, and protects relationships
Experience & Background
You should already have experience operating at a professional level within music.
This might include:
- Previous A&R, scouting, or talent-focused roles
- Working directly with artists through a label, management company, publisher, or collective
- Actively sourcing, developing, or placing talent in real-world contexts
- A strong, functional network of artists, producers, writers, and industry professionals
- Proven ability to assess who is ready, who is developing, and who isn’t
We’re less interested in job titles, and more interested in what you’ve actually done and who you genuinely know.
Commitment & Location
- Part-time: 1-2 days per week initially
- Flexible structure
- Open to candidates across the UK and EU
- Must be able to travel freely around Europe
- All reasonable travel and accommodation costs covered for WORKROOM sessions

- Reviewed as the role evolves
- Details discussed privately with shortlisted candidates

- Access to high-quality creative rooms and emerging talent
- A focused, independent environment without corporate A&R politics
- No trend-chasing. Decisions are made on taste and timing
- A culture built on trust, discretion, and long-term thinking
