ABOUT WORKROOM
Built around collaboration, WORKROOM connects artists, songwriters, producers and industry professionals.
WORKROOM is a curated creative community for artists, producers, songwriters and vocalists working across electronic music.
Built around collaboration, we create the rooms, sessions and introductions that allow good ideas to move further. Our work brings together established names and emerging talent, with every project shaped around the music and the people involved.
THE IDEA
Music can be made anywhere. The most important connections are harder to create.
The modern studio has given artists more independence than ever, but much of the process now happens alone. Files are exchanged, ideas are developed remotely and collaborators can work together without ever sharing the same room.
WORKROOM was created to bring the human side of the process back into focus.
We build spaces for artists to meet, write, experiment and create together in person. Places where ideas can change quickly, conversations continue beyond the session and new working relationships can begin naturally.
WRITING CAMPS
At the centre of WORKROOM are our private writing camps and studio sessions.
We bring together selected groups of producers, writers, artists and vocalists inside leading studios, including Rekorder Studios and STMPD recording studios in Amsterdam.
Each room is considered carefully. People are selected for their ability, perspective and creative fit, then placed into sessions built around a clear artist, project or direction.
Some participants arrive with established careers. Others are beginning to be recognised. What matters is what they bring to the music.
Attendance is by invitation or application, allowing each camp to remain focused and personal. The result is a working environment built for real collaboration, with the time, space and support needed to develop new records.
We look for original music, a clear creative identity and people who are ready to contribute to the room. Audience size and visibility are secondary to ability, ideas and the quality of the work.
Our purpose is simple: to bring the right people together, create better access and support the relationships, records and opportunities that follow.
